HazeMD is a Megadrive / Genesis emulator based on the MAME code. It works in exactly the same way MAME does.

Site Broken..

For some reason when the site was moved to another server the majority of the content was lost, and appears to have been restored from an ancient backup.

This means that most of the screenshots have been lost, the HazeMD packages have been lost, and any updated templated have been lost. I don’t have the original files for most of these as I assumed the host would have their own backup policy in case of something going wrong, obviously they didn’t.

I don’t have time to fix this mess right now, so for the time being you’ll have to find files elsewhere.

Another Ghastly Hack

Rock Duck has long been a ‘most wanted’ PCB, recently Mame italia came across some spare roms floating around labaled ‘RD’ and dumped them.

Robbie identified these as ‘Rock Duck’, but didn’t manage to get the game working properly. Dox then looked through some existing drivers and noticed similarities with the ‘Eggs” hardware. The game infact appears to be a pretty bad hack of Scrambled Egg. I’ve descrambled the GFX roms (simple bitswap) and hooked it up to the driver. Colours are wrong because there was no prom with the set.

HazeMD 0.12a

Haze Megadrive Emu 0.12a
————————

Added support for another Chinese Fighter 3 set (unprotected)
and ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Battle of Red Cliffs (Unl)’ which must
be one of the worst beat ‘em ups I’ve ever seen, worse than even Atari’s GOTH ;-)

No other changes (I’ve been investigating some of the other issues but thus far
have been unable to find a fix that doesn’t break other games)
