HazeMD is a Megadrive / Genesis emulator based on the MAME code. It works in exactly the same way MAME does.

Clean Screens

I had a request to put some clean screenshots of Jyangokushi up. This is really Guru’s WIP, but as the current shots which can be found are all watermarked I thought I’d post these anyway.

Also.. if you haven’t benn following the news too closely you’ll probably be happy to know that thanks to the hard work and dedication of both Nicola and Andreas over the past month the following additional CPS2 sets will be working in the next u update.

Jyangokushi: Haoh no Saihai (Japan 990527)

Only one decrypted game still requires a XOR / hack at this point ( Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (Asia 960529) ) and it has been decided that it would be best to remove this XOR and mark the game as non-working until a key is found.

It’s been really good seeing things fall into place like this, sometimes the talent of the team (and in this case outside contributors such as Andreas) really amazes me.

Request for Dang Spot to get back in touch / Blood Warriors

Sebastien Volpe has been doing some work on Kaneko’s Blood Warriors with the help of Dang Spot (Gary Walkling) he has the game mostly playable, although some moves lock the game up, and some palettes are wrong.

In order for the emulation to be completed it would help greatly if Dang Spot could get back in touch with Mamedev in order for a few additional verification tests to be run on the PCB.

The driver will be included and possibly marked as working in the next U update despite these issues, howver, it would be good to be able to get them fixed.

Again, I stress, this is not my WIP, but I currently have no way to contact Dang Spot directly.

Alpha One

Guru Choc (sorry, can’t link to the site because it contains ROMs) had dumped the ROMs for a Kyle Hodgetts game called Alpha One. It runs on Moon Patrol Hardware.

Emulation isn’t complete yet, but here are some preliminary screenshots.
