System Requirements
To run clrmamepro you need:
- Windows 2000 or higher. It will even run on WINE/or similar (Linux) or OS/2.
- Desktop Resolution should be 640x480 or higher, with 256 or more colors
- The clrmamepro executable (included in this package)
- If you want to receive the data directly from an emulator you need a
valid datfile or - if supported - the emulator executable.
File information:
clrmamepro needs filesetdata to work correctly. Normally such data is stored in
form of a datfile or if you got a binary which creates
a setlist automatically, you can use that one, too
Installation
Simply unzip the archive to your harddisk. I suggest that you unzip it to a separate
folder.
It's absolutely recommended that you use an own folder for clrmamepro !
clrmamepro empties its temp folder before using it !
Unzipping can be done with a common unzip program like WinZip or PKUnzip. After this operation your folder should hold the
following files:
-
'cmpro.exe' - the main program
-
'update.dll' - the internet update engine
-
'engine.cfg' - engine configuration file - DON'T MODIFY -
-
'whatsnew.txt' - short information about the new release
-
urls.ini - file with an url-list for possible downloads
-
versions.ini - file with some information about the version, email,
homepage, etc. *DO NOT EDIT!!!*
-
setformat.xml - xml file holding information about scanner set list
exports
You will also see some empty folders and the documentation folder.
Well...That's it...Nothing more to do.
Deinstallation
To remove clrmamepro from your computer, simply remove your clrmamepro
folder.
If you experience problems while running clrmamepro, you can also try to remove the
clrmamepro cachefolder before starting.
clrmamepro and other programs
You should be aware of some problems which may appear if you're using
clrmamepro with
one of the following programs:
- Virusscanners: Should be disabled while scanning, because they slow down the
scanning process.
- ZipMagic or other tools which hook into systemroutines to display zips as
folders: Disable them or disable them for clrmamepro. They can causes major problems for
clrmamepro while handling zipfiles.
